Mikkeller Bangkok is Thailand's first dedicated craft beer bar and the Danish gypsy-brewer Mikkeller's first outpost in Asia, tucked down a quiet residential soi off Ekkamai Road (Sukhumvit Soi 63). It occupies a beautifully refurbished old Thai house from the 1950s, pairing a bright, stylish interior with clean modern wooden furniture and a distinctly Nordic, elegant feel. The heart of the bar is its 30 rotating taps, which pour Mikkeller's own experimental brews alongside a curated rotation of European and American craft breweries, backed by a large bottle selection and a bottle shop in the back for on-site drinking or takeaway. A full kitchen turns out high-quality bar snacks and full meals, from sandwiches, cold cuts, pickles, burgers, fries and sausages to pizza, plus special food-and-beer pairing menus and regular garden barbecue nights. One of its signature features is the lush tropical garden, where guests can relax on comfortable chairs and bean-bag seating around low tables amid rich greenery. The crowd is a friendly mix of beer-tourists drawn by the Mikkeller name and Bangkok's local craft-beer enthusiasts, and the bar even hosts a monthly running club that loops around the Ekkamai area. It was named Best Beer Bar 2023 at BK Magazine's B.A.D. Awards, cementing its reputation as a must-visit for anyone serious about beer in Bangkok.
