Sukhumvit, Bangkok
Grapey is a cozy, owner-run natural wine bar that recently moved into a larger space on Sukhumvit Soi 22 in Bangkok. It built its reputation on pairing natural (low-intervention) wines with flavour-packed dishes inspired by Thai and regional Asian, particularly Isaan/Esarn, cooking, where spice, acidity and savoury notes complement the wines in unexpected ways. The bar pours a wide, frequently rotating selection of natural wines, and the friendly owner is known for personally recommending bottles and glasses based on each guest's taste. Beyond wine, Grapey also serves coffee, pastries and Asian small plates, giving it a relaxed all-day cafe-into-wine-bar character. The atmosphere is intimate, welcoming and lively, drawing natural wine enthusiasts and neighbourhood regulars. Its move to the bigger Sukhumvit 22 venue kept the same easygoing energy while adding more room to gather. It is a strong pick for anyone exploring Bangkok's growing natural wine scene.
