Cooling Tower is a relaxed rooftop bar on the 34th floor of the Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, set just above Sukhumvit Road and about a 7-minute walk from Asok BTS and MRT Sukhumvit. The terrace offers sweeping panoramas of the Bangkok skyline from the front and side, framed by very high retractable ceilings and architectural pillars, giving it a partly sheltered, semi-open feel. Trendy and sophisticated yet welcoming and laid-back, it is regarded as something of a hidden gem, ideal for after-work wind-downs and sunset cocktails. Its talented mixologist prepares creative signature and classic cocktails, backed by a wide selection of wines, bespoke spirits and local and imported draught beers. The food menu features tempting tapas, sharing plates, thin-crust pizza and a few main courses. The dress code is smart casual; athletic or sports attire, sleeveless shirts, t-shirts, sandals, flip-flops and hotel slippers are not permitted.
